Formerly a legend in his own mind, Nathan left a somewhat unsuccessful career in music for a less fulfilling job as a cable guy before mysteriously concluding that it just might be fun to fly helicopters. Following civilian flight training and varied work as CFI, tour & ENG pilot, Nathan hired on with Air Logistics in the fall of 2006. Fortuitous timing allowed him to progress rather quickly and become qualified in the S76 in 2008.
Since early 2010, Nathan has served on the Bristow night crew operating from Galliano. There, he repositions 206s, 407s and 76s for the Company and ventures into the darkness of night over the Gulf, often to transport the ill or injured to area hospitals.
Union service came about somewhat unexpectedly when in the fall of 2010, Nathan was asked to replace a departing Board member. He began to serve as Trustee and accepted the office of Recording Secretary for the 2012-2014 term. In addition to duties as Recording Secretary, Nathan edits a monthly NOTAM for Local 107 members.
When off-duty, Nathan enjoys time at his home in North Palm Beach, Florida.
